Internet Attacked
An attempted 'denial of service' lodged by hackers has failed. Fortunately, the internet infrastructure survived this latest assault which would have left you and me forced to shut down and watch television or actually curl up and read a book.
I have to point out that such attacks are made possible because a great number of computer users have infected computers and they don't know it. These infected computers are used as zombies by hackers to create chaos.
For the sake of everybody using the net, I ask that if you don't know how to secure your computer that you find out!
The worst attack in years on the Internet's infrastructure has slowed traffic but failed to bring down the web, with infected computers around the world used as "zombies," security experts say.
Private sector analysts say the computers that direct Internet traffic were hit by a so-called denial of service attack, which seeks to slow or knock out a network.
