SCRIPTING
Script Defender
AnalogX Script Defender will intercept any request to execute the most common scripting types used in virus attacks, such as Visual Basic Scripting (.VBS), Java Script (.JS), etc and can even be configured to intercept new script extensions as needed! It's very simple to use and helps to ensure that you do not inadvertently run a script no matter what email program you use, or even if you get it via another method.
Script Sentry
Script Sentry allows safe scripts to run on your system while alerting you if a script might harm your system. In addition, Script Sentry prevents against malicious scripts hidden in ShellScrap (hidden SHS and SHB extensions) files, Word/Excel macro viruses, malicious HTA files, and accidentally run REG files. You can specify which scripts/files should be allowed to run and Script Sentry will invisibly allow those to run. Script Sentry is a "set it and forget it" application so it takes up exactly 0MB of memory unless it's needed. NOTE: Script Sentry is not a replacement for a good anti-virus program, but a supplement to it. An anti-virus program might stop a script virus once you update it's virus definition files, but before you do that the virus has a window of opportunity. Script Sentry simply helps close that window.

On Line Trojan Scan
Trojan horses are a huge security threat. A Trojan is a program that enters your computer undetected, giving the attacker who planted the Trojan unrestricted access to the data stored on your computer. Trojans can transmit credit card information and other confidential data in the background. Trojans are often not caught by virus scanning engines, because these are focused on viruses, not Trojans. Spam Pal SpamPal sits between your email program and your mailbox, checking your email as you retrieve it. Any email messages that SpamPal considers to be spam will be "tagged" with a special header; you simply configure your email client to filter anything with this header into a separate folder and your spam won't be mixed up with the rest of your email anymore! SpamPal uses what are called DNSBL lists. Patterned after the famous MAPS RBL, these are lists of parts of the Internet that in one way or another facilitate spam. You can choose to use any or all of the freely-usable DNSBL lists. Because not everyone who uses a machine on a DNSBL list will be a spammer, SpamPal has a powerful whitelisting feature that allows you to ignore DNSBL listings for certain senders or for parts of the Internet. Proprietry mail systems like AOL, and webmail services such as Hotmail and Yahoo, are not directly supported! However, many such mailboxes can be used with SpamPal via a third-party product. NOTE: the manual is not with the SpamPal installation archive; you must read it online or download it separately.
