If you take the time to look up music in your Funk and Wagnall you'd get:
noun - the science or art of ordering tones or sounds in succession, in combination, and in temporal relationships to produce a composition having unity and continuity.
Well, to be honest, I looked it up in Merriam Webster as the other is not available online. Have you heard the expression, "Music tames the savage beast"? I recall it being the punchline of an old joke.

One nice feature of a personal computer is it's ability to multi-task. If you are new to all this, you may not know that you can do your normal work on your pc, play a game of solitaire, chat with an online friend, surf the internet, read your e-mail, and all the while you can be listening to music - the music you want to listen to.
A web page such as this could have a 'Play Button' that you could press and music would play - the music that the webmaster has already selected for you, or something that he has recorded such as a welcome message.

So if you have never experienced this, or if you have and just want to use these links, look below for some of the music that is available to you.
To do this you must have a set of speakers hooked up to your pc, and if you are going to go out and buy them you might just as well purchase a mic so you can record. So you don't drive your wife, the dog, and your cat crazy, you are better off getting the headset that you wear - you'll get better sound on anything you record and the equipement is fairly inexpensive.
